What is Person-Centred Therapy?
'It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried.''
(Carl Rogers)

The person-centred approach is at the heart of counselling. After decades of working with clients, world-famous psychologist, Dr Carl Rogers, concluded that we all have the innate ability to develop, grow and find our way through the maze of life, when offered the right conditions.
Dr Rogers concluded that people ultimately know what is best and right for themselves and have the ability to find their way. The role of the counsellor or psychotherapist is to offer the right conditions to enable this process to occur.
Building a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of everything that I do with clients. It is the core upon which everything else sits.
I always work to promote self-efficacy in my clients. Essentially, I believe that each client is unique and we work collaboratively towards their goals.
